Feast your eyes on this perfect destination wedding in Playa del Carmen to fight the Monday winter blues! The flowers are gorgeous, the crown is to die for, the couple is beautiful and the venue is stunning! The romantic “I Do’s” were held at Nuestra Señora Carmen, right at the start of Playa’s famous 5th Avenue with father Hubert performing the ceremony. The group made their way down to the beach where Indigo Beach Club was ready and waiting to host the gorgeous beachfront dinner and party, complete with Mariachi del Sol with Don Elio. Congrats to the happy couple and thank you to PhotoStudio AB for the fabulous photos.
The tourists and vendors on Playa del Carmen’s famous Avenida Quinta sure have been spoiled with wedding parades this year! Mariachis and beautiful people dressed in nice suits and pretty dresses celebrating down the street have been a regular occurrence on the strip!
Since Yvette and Alvaro were married right at the start of 5th, at the Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, the parade was the perfect way to get their guests a few blocks away to the reception at Kool Beach Club.
Maria is not only good at what she does; she is good at everything in between. She is reliable, detail oriented, honest, communicative, quick to respond to emails, will go 110% to find what you need, and the day of your wedding, she is ready to take on any situation. Everything went smoothly on our wedding day she was in charge, and took control of everything with a smile! All we had to worry about was having a good time and enjoying every moment with our guests.
The party got started quickly and ended late at Kool, a perfect spot in town and right on the beach. We love how Kool lights up the night!Thank you Yvette and Alvaro for letting us be a part of your amazing wedding day!And thank you to Besame Mucho Photography for the pretty pictures!
Sallie and Jay have set the bar high for anyone looking to plan a fun and festive destination wedding in Playa del Carmen. The colours, decor and all of the cheerful touches make this one for the books!
The day started as it should, with champagne and friends getting ready at Deseo Hotel and Lounge on Playa del Carmen’s famous Avenida Quinta, a perfect little boutique hotel with an amazing rooftop overlooking the action.
From Deseo, the small group of close friends and family made their way over to the beautiful beachfront property at Mosquito Beach, just a few blocks away, for a romantic ceremony filled with love and laughter and then down 5th Avenue, mariachi and all, to start the celebration!
And thank you to Dean Sanderson for these gorgeous photos!
We’re excited to share a special treat with you this week lovelies! This beautiful video of Jessica and Damien’s Playa del Carmen wedding will give you a great idea of the feel of a destination wedding here in Playa. The church, 5th Avenue, the beach, the people… this video has all the quintesencial Playa elements. See for yourself!
Thank you Ken Brownlee for doing such a great job on capturing the feel of this fun day!
Playa del Carmen is growing and changing every day. More and more venue choices are popping up and as much as we love exploring new locations, there is always something special about planning a wedding at one of Playa’s landmark locations.
Hotel Lunata has been a part of our city for over 10 years. A charming hacienda style retreat in the heart of the city that has the perfect courtyard for a special celebration. Teresa and Javier had no doubt it was the perfect fit for their May wedding in Playa del Carmen.
This intimate location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue, is a great choice for anyone looking for a beautiful garden location for a small group. The colours and natural beauty of the garden make it easy to get inspired to decorate for a tropical wedding in paradise!
Thank you to Photostudio AB for sharing the beautiful photos.
It doesn’t get much more “Playa” than this super fun wedding! Nancy and Eddie, our cool Californian couple, had all of 5th Avenue cheering on their big day in Playa del Carmen.
Married at the gorgeous little chapel at the very beginning of “La Quinta” and then off to the party by bicycle!
A mariachi band led the way as newly married Eddie paraded his bride dan the cobble stone streets, stopping at Indigo Beach Club for the reception.
Congratulations Nancy and Eddie!!!
