Jenny and Jason, Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen

Yes that’s right, another beautiful Grand Coral Beach Club wedding for you to feast your eyes on ladies!

This time, we bring to you Jenny and Jason who brought their closest friends and family to Playa del Carmen for a colorful and intimate celebration under the unpredictable summer skies! We watched the weather closely and had a quick downpour during the ceremony, but of course, Playa del Carmen destination wedding magic took over and the couple ended up exchanging vows under a beautiful rainbow as the clouds cleared out!

They chose a gorgeous bright blue and orange theme that created the perfect pop of color against the venues modern decor and white powdery beach. We worked with Floreria Jardin on the beautiful centerpieces and incorporated some decor the couple brought from home.

A Mariachi band and DJ Diego of Evolution Mix Audiovisuales provided the perfect soundtrack to the day and well into the night for this fun loving group!

The lovely bride’s hair and makeup looked fabulous thanks to Sarah Grenier and it was all captured by the wonderful Alessandro of Photostudio AB.

We wish you all the best Jenny and Jason! Felicidades!

Lisa and Alex of, Mayan Wedding

Lisa and Alex say they are on the adventure of a lifetime. A couple of years ago they decided to sell all of their belongings and pack up an old camper to tour the world… and get married in every city they visit! They even began a blog about it!

With all the hype they were getting in the wedding world, we were honored when they chose us to coordinate their Mayan Ceremony, destination wedding number 11 for them!

It was a beautiful, spiritual and private ceremony, one that Lisa says made her feel totally at peace and washed her nerves away.

At the end of the day we shared drinks and stories and promised to see each other again, maybe even for another wedding!

Bethany and Mike, Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen

The Grand Coral Beach Club is popular with brides that come to us looking for something modern and secluded, on one of Playa del Carmen’s many beautiful stretches of white sandy beaches.

Bethany and Mike loved the fresh and simple look of this non resort venue and after being disappointed with the high costs of planning their wedding back home in Arizona, they fell in love with the location started planning their classy black and white Mexican destination wedding!

Bethany chose pretty white flowers with touches of green and cascading floral centerpieces from a wonderful local florist, Jardin Floreria, and we decorated the classic white tables and linens from Maxirent with crystal accents and romantic candles.

centerpieceMariachi Sol de Caribe added some Mexican flair and the amazing EvolutionMix Audiovisuales lit up the night from the dance floor and kept this fun loving crowd going late into the night.

Brooke and Travis, DIY Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty

corazon altar

If there is one thing we absolutely love about planning weddings, it is the creative process of turning our clients visions into something real. When a couple comes to us with a project or idea to make their wedding more personal, we embrace it whole heatedly.

Travis and Brooke came to us a few years ago wanting to build their own altar to go along with the other fabulous decorations they had crafted. We drove to various stores in Playa del Carmen, gathering all the necessary tools and inspiration along the way, and the end result was a beautiful and unique arch for the very personal ceremony and a ton of fabulous DIY decor!

So beautiful and unique that their wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty! Great job Travis and Brooke!

What personal touches will you incorporate into your big day?!

A Persian Wedding, Pontea and David, Grand Coral Beach Club

If you listen closely while out in Playa del Carmen, you’ll quickly realize how multicultural our beautiful city is. You’ll hear Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, French and many other languages being spoken in the shops and restaurants, and this is one of the many reasons we believe Playa is a perfect location for a beautiful destination wedding.

Pontea and David came to us, and to Playa, with their Persian influence. They brought offerings and decor with them to help us create a traditional Persian wedding on the gorgeous secluded beach of the Grand Coral Beach Club.

We incorporated a mirror (“the mirror of fate”) and two Candelabras (representing the bride and groom and brightness in their future), one on each side of the mirror at the ceremony site. Traditional offerings of foods and spices were laid out and guests got to witness this happy couple exchange vows with the help of their families.

The ceremony was followed by dinner and dancing at the always beautiful and modern Grand Coral poolside reception area, decorated with white flowers, crystal vases and glowing candles. A DJ and band kept guests dancing and toasting the night away!

Cheers to the happy couple!

Eloping in Playa del Carmen

mayan elope2

Once and a while we get the honor of being a part of a very intimate, very private and very emotional moment, when two people decide that they wish to elope in Playa del Carmen and forgo the big traditional wedding.

As romantic as the idea is to secretly run off and get married in Mexico, there is still much to be decided; flowers, hair and makeup, photography, location, ceremony…

mayan elopePauline and Johan from Sweden came to us wishing to find a private beach area to bring their very small group of friends and family to for a surprise elopement. We organized a Mayan Ceremony on a beautiful beach in Playa del Carmen, followed by a small cocktail hour and they had a friend handle photography. It was a beautiful surprise!

Taking the surprise elopement idea even further, were David and Nicole from Kentucky, who were married on the beach in Playa del Carmen in their bathing suits and posted the photos on Facebook as a surprise announcement to their friends and family!

And finally, Olivier and Monica, a couple from Norway who brought their two beautiful children to the Riviera Maya so they could participate in their legal ceremony under the beautiful palms of Playa.
