Sallie and Jay, Mosquito Beach, Destination Wedding in Playa del Carmen

Sallie and Jay have set the bar high for anyone looking to plan a fun and festive destination wedding in Playa del Carmen. The colours, decor and all of the cheerful touches make this one for the books!
The day started as it should, with champagne and friends getting ready at Deseo Hotel and Lounge on Playa del Carmen’s famous Avenida Quinta, a perfect little boutique hotel with an amazing rooftop overlooking the action.

From Deseo, the small group of close friends and family made their way over to the beautiful beachfront property at Mosquito Beach, just a few blocks away, for a romantic ceremony filled with love and laughter and then down 5th Avenue, mariachi and all, to start the celebration!

We loved all of the details that went into pulling off this gorgeous day! Thank you to our awesome couple for inviting us to be a part of it!

Playa del Carmen is growing and changing every day. More and more venue choices are popping up and as much as we love exploring new locations, there is always something special about planning a wedding at one of Playa’s landmark locations.
Hotel Lunata has been a part of our city for over 10 years. A charming hacienda style retreat in the heart of the city that has the perfect courtyard for a special celebration. Teresa and Javier had no doubt it was the perfect fit for their May wedding in Playa del Carmen.

Personalized papel picado banners were strung along with colourful Chinese lanterns to create a festive atmosphere in the lush garden.

This intimate location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue, is a great choice for anyone looking for a beautiful garden location for a small group. The colours and natural beauty of the garden make it easy to get inspired to decorate for a tropical wedding in paradise!

Nancy and Eddie, Indigo Beach Club, Playa del Carmen Destination Wedding

It doesn’t get much more “Playa” than this super fun wedding! Nancy and Eddie, our cool Californian couple, had all of 5th Avenue cheering on their big day in Playa del Carmen.

Married at the gorgeous little chapel at the very beginning of “La Quinta” and then off to the party by bicycle!

A mariachi band led the way as newly married Eddie paraded his bride dan the cobble stone streets, stopping at Indigo Beach Club for the reception.

Thanks to DJ Diego, the party went late and our happy couple and their guests left happy! And thank you to PhotoStudio AB for the lovely photos!

Melissa and Tom, Indigo Beach Club, Playa del Carmen

Indigo Beach Club in the heart of Playa del Carmen was the chosen location for our Canadian bride Melissa, her handsome New Zealand born groom Tom and their lucky guests.

The ladies got ready at a private villa on the beach while the men sipped cervezas and awaited the stunning beach front ceremony.

With pops of pink, turquoise and green accents, the venue was transformed into a destination wedding paradise. Swaying palms lit up the night as guests dined on Indigo Beach’s fine cuisine and enjoyed dancing along the Caribbean sea.

Congratulations Melissa and Tom! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!

Liliana and Etsson, Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen

In Mexico, Celebrations are a “go big or go home” type of affair. This was definitely the case for Liliana and Etsson of Monterey Mexico, who brought 120 guests to the Riviera Maya for a gorgeous wedding complete with two ceremonies; one church and one beach front!

Lavish floral Arrangements and roses were a big part of our decor. The church was romantic and traditional, followed by a beautiful beach themed ceremony complete with starfish and bamboo mats.
