Something a little different for you this Friday! This was not your traditional white wedding on the beach! Our couple, all the way from Australia, along with their nearest and dearest, rented a beautiful Villa in Playacar to throw one heck of a party with a fun blue theme!
A little rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, and it certainly didn’t stop this fun group from celebrating in style! Cheers! Congratulations Sere and Colin! Thank you to Jacqueline Van Nostrand for sharing the pics!
We could list a million reasons why any couple should consider getting married in the Riviera Maya. Besides the obvious ones like gorgeous weather and breathtaking scenery, there are several other very special qualities this area has inherited as a result of its growing international population. It’s these qualities; the beauty, acceptance, respect and diversity, that brought Jordan and David along with with closest friends and family, from Texas and beyond for their beautiful beachside nuptials in Akumal.
The celebration was held at Villa Bellamar, a gorgeous luxury retreat in Akumal, only 20 minutes outside Playa del Carmen. The quiet beach was the perfect backdrop for this intimate gathering.
We loved the choice of decor for this event. Pops of blue and violet with marine accents made it feel romantic and masculine and fun with touches of quirky Mexican art kept it light and festive.
We are proud supporters of love. Love that comes in all shapes, sizes and forms. Playa del Carmen has a wonderful gay community, and is home to one of the largest gay festivals in North America, the Arena Festival, so it is no surprise to us why we are seeing more and more couples choosing our home as their spot for an unforgettable destination wedding. And we are honoured they choose us to be a part of it all!
Congratulations and Gracias Jordan and David! We wish you all the love in the world! Thank you to Diego Munoz for the gorgeous pics!
Part of the ever-growing demand for a private villa wedding in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya is the amount of flexibility you have in the planning process. With so many gorgeous options and countless reliable and professional vendors to chose from to help bring your vision together, it’s a great alternative to the packaged resort wedding. For these exact reasons, Afton and Adam chose to fly 60 of their friends and family to Casa Chaac in Playacar for their destination wedding celebration.
We loved the light and elegant decor of this wedding. Crystals, glass, roses in pinks, white and purples were found throughout the ceremony and reception.
Everything came together flawlessly and the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a night of dancing and celebrating on the beach!
Congratulations Afton and Adam! We know you will have infinite amounts of happiness together! See the full wedding thanks to Dean Sanderson Photography here.
Indigo Beach Club in the heart of Playa del Carmen was the chosen location for our Canadian bride Melissa, her handsome New Zealand born groom Tom and their lucky guests.
The ladies got ready at a private villa on the beach while the men sipped cervezas and awaited the stunning beach front ceremony.
With pops of pink, turquoise and green accents, the venue was transformed into a destination wedding paradise. Swaying palms lit up the night as guests dined on Indigo Beach’s fine cuisine and enjoyed dancing along the Caribbean sea.
Congratulations Melissa and Tom! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness! Thank you to Photostudioab for sharing the pics!
There is a reason why Casa Chaac gets so much wedding love. It’s just a 10 minute walk from all of the entertainment of downtown Playa del Carmen, yet it feels so personal and romantic and miles away from the action. This, amongst many other obvious reasons, is why Alexis and Kris chose it for their destination wedding day in the Riviera Maya.
Our beautiful bride wanted some of the now famous Casa Chaac touches, such as taco carts, papel picado banners and strung lights and added her own touch with colors, photographs and an awesome lit up dance floor!
Tasty traditional Mexican treats were served thanks to Chef Ruben Lopez and his team and everyone had a great time celebrating this wonderful couple on this balmy November night in Playacar!
Congratulations Alexis and Kris! Thank you for letting us be a part of your magical time in Playa!
And thank you to Studio AB for sharing the beautiful photos.
