Lisa and Alex of 2people1life.com, Mayan Wedding

2People1Life_Mexico_083

Lisa and Alex say they are on the adventure of a lifetime. A couple of years ago they decided to sell all of their belongings and pack up an old camper to tour the world… and get married in every city they visit! They even began a blog about it!

With all the hype they were getting in the wedding world, we were honored when they chose us to coordinate their Mayan Ceremony, destination wedding number 11 for them!

It was a beautiful, spiritual and private ceremony, one that Lisa says made her feel totally at peace and washed her nerves away.

At the end of the day we shared drinks and stories and promised to see each other again, maybe even for another wedding!

Thanks to Dean Sanderson for all the great photos!

Cenote Weddings in the Riviera Maya

cenotenightwedding

There are many natural, historical and cultural wonders in the Riviera Maya, but perhaps none as unique as our famous cenotes. These fresh water sink holes are created by the underground river system, and were considered to be sacred by the Mayan people.

Some of the most beautiful cenotes are right in our own backyard and would provide a stunning back drop for your big day!

One of our most unique weddings was that of Lindsay and Ryan, who were set on a destination wedding in Tulum but wanted something completely different than a beach wedding. Cenote Zazil- Ha provided them with a lush tropical background, crystal clear jade water and a magical experience for their guests!

Decorated with colorful papel picado baners and tropical floral arrangements, the already amazing natural wonder became even more vibrant and alive as this amazing couple said their “I Do’s” in front of their closest friends and family.

Andrea and Rob, Destination Wedding at Akin Tulum

Mayan Wedding Tulum

59 guests from England, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the US came to gorgeous Tulum this past April to celebrate Andrea and Rob’s beautiful beach wedding day!

The luxurious Be Tulum and charming Playa Azul played host to the guests while Akin Tulum provided the perfect background for this romantic and spiritual union.

A traditional Mayan ceremony, performed by Shaman Miguel and 3 other Shaman, was followed by a fabulous performance by the famed Flamenco dancer Antonio Suarez and a beautiful celebration under the stars.

Beautiful bride Andrea looked like a beach goddess with her braided updo and flowing one shouldered white gown, all photographed by the memorable Dean Sanderson!
