Alexis and Kris, Casa Chaac, Playacar

PhotostudioAB020

There is a reason why Casa Chaac gets so much wedding love. It’s just a 10 minute walk from all of the entertainment of downtown Playa del Carmen, yet it feels so personal and romantic and miles away from the action.
This, amongst many other obvious reasons, is why Alexis and Kris chose it for their destination wedding day in the Riviera Maya.

Our beautiful bride wanted some of the now famous Casa Chaac touches, such as taco carts, papel picado banners and strung lights and added her own touch with colors, photographs and an awesome lit up dance floor!

Tasty traditional Mexican treats were served thanks to Chef Ruben Lopez and his team and everyone had a great time celebrating this wonderful couple on this balmy November night in Playacar!

And thank you to Studio AB for sharing the beautiful photos.

Natalie and Seth, Casa Chanty, Playa del Secreto, Riviera Maya

Natalie y Seth

Doesn’t it just sound so romantic? Playa del Secreto, or “Secret Beach” for a destination wedding in the Riviera Maya. This tranquil little community, with only a couple dozen hotels, resorts and villas is conveniently located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen and is where Natalie and Seth decided to say their “I do’s”.

Beautiful Casa Chanty is where the couple chose for their wedding week stay and ceremony. It’s gorgeous views and rustic charm were just what they hoped for and the quiet beach was a perfect place for daughter Violet to play.

The couples officiant performed a beautiful ceremony followed by a romantic dinner catered by Chef Ruben López, one of Playa del Carmen’s most renowned chefs. Jardin Floreria came through once again creating perfect centerpieces in the greens and purples the bride had hoped for.

Linda, from Arte en Pasteles, designed a delicious cake to match our theme.

The love between this beautiful couple was certainly no secret, and daughter Violet was too adorable for words!

Congratulations Natalie and Seth!

And thank you once again to Queztal Photo for the amazing photos!

Some of the many benefits of having a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen are the amount of time you get to spend with your closest friends and family and the memories you will make during that incredible time. This amazing couple and their group would certainly agree!
Megan and Darren chose Casa Chaac for their intimate getaway. They wanted a casual and festive celebration and as you’ll see in these pictures- they got just that!

We decorated with colorful papel picado flags and large lanterns that really helped create a fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy after the romantic beach front ceremony.

This hot summer night was no match for this wild group! They ended the celebration with a splash as they cooled off in Casa Chaac’s large pool!

Purples, pinks and whites, the vibrant Caribbean sea, a scorching hot day in Playa del Carmen and lots of cocktails were on the menu for Kim and Andre’s beautiful destination wedding in paradise.

This fun loving group watched as the couple said their “I Do’s” on a quiet stretch of beach in Playacar, where the theme was romantic and modern and then were off down Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th avenue to Kool Beach Club for the fiesta!

We loved the color scheme for this wedding, rich purple and pinks with classic flower arrangements  of fresh white roses. Kool Beach Club was the perfect setting for this couple and guests took full advantage of the setting to dance the night away!

This wedding was super fun! Seeing it all come together after months of planning and watching everyone having a great time celebrating the amazing couple makes our job so rewarding!

Thank you Kim and Andre and special thanks to Ivan Luckie Photography for the great photos.

Wickys Wedding Playa del Carmen

A small, intimate destination wedding right in the heart of Playa del Carmen was Tara and Randy’s vision of the perfect wedding day. Their wonderful group of friends and family stayed at the luxurious El Taj condos which provided a beautiful spot for getting ready.

Wicky’s, a modern and upscale restaurant on Playa del Carmen’s popular beach was the perfect location for an intimate ceremony and delicious dinner. The decor was minimal, and romantic and set the tone for a wonderful evening of celebrating by the sea!

Choosing Flowers for your Riviera Maya Wedding

For some brides, choosing flower arrangements and the right bouquet is just as important as picking a dress. With thousands of types of flowers, and so many combinations of colors and arrangements to chose from, something as fun as picking flowers for your wedding can turn into an overwhelming project!
Luckily for brides planning a wedding in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, we are home to some of the most gorgeous flowers around! Having such wonderful tropical flowers native to our area makes it more affordable and accessible for brides and always leads to stunning weddings. Depending on the season and availability, we can almost always get the type of flower requested, however there are some exceptions.

Here is a helpful list of what is available year round for our brides:

lilies

  •  Yellow, Orange, White and Stargazer Lilies

roses

  • Roses – all colors

mexican invitations

  • Gerber Flower – all colors

bouquet

  • Purple, White or Pink Lisianthus

  • Orchids

carnations

  • Carnations

Also available: Sunflowers, Gladiolas, Chrysanthemums, Babies Breath and Daisies

We often get requests for some popular flowers that need to be imported. Although it is certainly possible, these species may cost more so be sure to ask your florist/planner about costs, availability and timing for the following:

Hydrangeas, tulips, calla lilies, glorious lilies, ranunculus, peonies, most species from Holland and others

Flowers can be an excellent inexpensive way to add an extra layer to any wedding, pick whichever suits your personalities and theme and you won’t be disappointed!
